The Elusive Mount Fuji

One of the objectives of this trip is to see Mount Fuji, only caught a slight glimpse of the mountain the last time when I visited Hakone. This time, we decided to go to lake kawaguchi and hang around for 2 days, hopefully the shy mountain will appear within the 2 days >.<

The mountain was nowhere in sight on the day we reach the lake... zzz... so it was the start of a long wait... zzz...

Day 1 afternoon - waiting for Fuji to appear at the bank of Kawaguchiko... was pretty cold coz it rained in the morning... grrrrr....

Day 1 evening 5pm - waiting by the window... was much warmer after soaking in the Japanese bath in the minsuku

Day 1 evening 6pm - finally caught a glimpse of the mountain (only a little bit of the body)

Day 2 morning - despite the cloud surrounding the mountain, it actually looked rather promising as the rest of the sky was really blue and pretty cloudless...

Day 2 afternoon - had a picnic by the lake this time, the sun was out that day... very different from day 1 >.<

Day 2 evening (last evening at kawaguchiko) - looks like this is the best that we can get :(

This is the view from my window on day 3 morning!!!! We quickly ran outside with the camera before the shy mountain disappears again....

And finally...

So pretty!!!! The mountain disappeared after around 30min... I'm so glad I woke up early enuff that day!!! :D Early bird gets the worm :p
